Hope things are Good :)when we Stay away from india we miss lot of things, among all it includes indian grocery too, As we know indian food has lotttttt of masala, lottttt of spices, we cannot make our food without theses lovely spices which gives an excellent flavours!! Back in india, Grocery shops are available in every corner of the street, so this time when i had been to india i bought a packet of,
bisibelebath powder, but i wanted t0 try the home made bisibelebath powder for the fresh flavour. Bisi-Bele- Bath powder is the blend of spices, a famous Karnataka special food where we add the bisibelebath powder to the rice, lentils and veggies. The above recipe yeilds 2 1/2 tbs of bisibelebath powder, if you want to make it more just double the amount which is mentioned in ingredient list.You can also store in the airtight cotainer upto a month. Its has full of flavours, Fresh, added a great taste to the bisibelebath.
- Oil- 1 tsp
- Mustard Seeds- 1 tsp
- Fenugreek seeds- 1 tsp
- Channa dal- 2.5 tbs
- Urdu dal- 1.5 tbs
- Poppy seeds- 1 tsp
- Cinnamon- 1 small stick
- Cloves- 3 to 4
- Dry Red chilli- 4
- Heat up the oil, add all the ingredients saute them for 1 minute
- Let it comes to room temperature
- Grind them into a fine powder.
